“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal, a commitment to excellence, that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”
Sometimes we focus on tomorrow more than now. We can become so impatient with our now that we ignore its purpose and fail to utilize its potential. Hurrying breathlessly towards the goal, ignoring today’s importance and responsibilities often leave us frustrated and ultimately discouraged. We tend to forget that our future goal requires our development in today.
Patience is a necessity for the achievement of success and goals. Getting to the goal is important, but just as necessary, is how we get there. The faithfulness in much doesn’t happen once a person arrives. It has been developed along the way by being faithful in the little things of daily life. The habit in the small things becomes ones character in the big things.
Take time and think on the following by John Maxwell and enjoy the journey. Never forget that today was yesterday’s tomorrow.
“Look behind you: What have you learned?
Look around you: What is happening to others?
Look above you: What does God expect of you?
Look beside you: What resources are available to you?”
Be patient and stay encouraged my friends!
