Rome is Burning Again

An anonymous member of Congress writes in a new book

“My main job is to keep my job, to get reelected. It takes precedence over everything”

This is what happens when leaders go from serving the people to ruling. When a person becomes intoxicated on their self-importance and baptize their position in being served instead of serving, then job security is of the highest importance. An “us and them” is created in the cesspool of a putrid mind marinating in narcissism and make no mistake about it, this will lead to an oppression somewhere along the way.

The truth is, the main job is not keep his job, but to serve and to protect them. Where did this idea come from? It comes from greed that has taken over a fragile will that silently screams to remain moral. Lobbyists and the money that flows from the special interests feeds the selfishness of an individual in power. The effect of such behavior produces congressional pimps that prostitute the people. They become fat on the laborious grind of the citizens and they party lavishly while masses become more enslaved.

It doesn’t matter what nation or system the only way to sustainability, equality, and equity is hearts guarded by moral ethics. Selfishness will not only fleece for money, but it lies, distorts facts, and stops at nothing to remain in their now self-appointed position. I would not be surprised that in the near future we hear of heinous crime activity taking place in our American government.

Any advice?

Here is my partial solution and suggestions

  1. remove the billion dollar lobbying industry
  2. enact term limits
  3. make Congress live under the legislation they pass and not exempt themselves from it. For example – Obamacare.
  4. Make them return to their constituents and have town-hall meetings on a yearly basis to answer publicly about the decisions they make. In other words make them face the people they are representing and make them accountable.

Of course this is not a total solution package but it at least moves the pendulum back towards center.
